Nick Highley will begin his fifth season at Presbyterian College as a volleyball assistant coach in 2020, having joined the program during the summer of 2016.
Highley most recently worked at Carolina Courts in Charlotte, N.C., where he was the boys’ volleyball program director. He was also the adult volleyball director and coached the 15U club team for Carolina PEAK.
From 2010 until January 2016, Highley was a member of the United States Army, and was most recently stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Ramstein, Germany. While there, he coached the Ramstein American High School Royals Varsity team, serving as the assistant coach in 2013 and 2014, before being promoted to associate head coach in 2015. During his time at Ramstein, his teams earned a DoDDS European Championship in 2013, a fourth place finish in 2014 and a third place finish in 2015.
Highley earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports & Health Sciences from American Military University in 2016, and received a master's degree in Sports & Health Sciences from AMU in July of 2020.
Highley resides in Greenville, S.C., with his wife Melissa, who is a Dermatological Surgical Assistant, and his youngest daughter, who is in high school. His oldest daughter graduated high school in 2016 from Ramstein American High School.
