Biography

2024-25: Beam's third season in Clinton resulted in more hardware for the 207-pounder, winning the Southeast Region Championship that allowed her to advance to the National Title bracket for the second consecutive year...Ended the spring with 18 individual wins, going 8-3 down the stretch to seize 1st place at Regionals in Georgia...Earned a six-match winning streak in December that included a W against #3 King inside Templeton Gymnasium, picking up a 4:33 fall over Frostburg State in the opening round of the Midlands Championships in Chicago...Grabbed one gold and one silver prize in the regular season prior to Regionals, emerging victorious in that event with a 5-0 decision opposite Emmanuel's Gemma Templeman...Was one of 14 National Championship qualifiers for Presby (a new school record), beating her opponent from Mount Union via 12-2 technical in the first round of the season's last tourney...Helped PC finish in 6th-place overall at Nationals, the program's third straight finish in the top ten and a new school record.

2023-24: Erupted as a sophomore after sitting the majority of the previous season due to injury, claiming 23 victories in class 191 next to 10 pins...Seized a trio of tournament titles with a combined record of 11-0 at the Wasp Open, Emmanuel Open, and Frostburg Open...Endured a 13-match winning streak that spanned 48 days, tying the longest streak on the team while pinning five foes over that period...Finished her breakout year with a pair of W's in the postseason (a 71-second pin and 10-2 decision) that allowed her to post a 2nd-place tab in the NCWWC Southeast Regional event...While the bulk of her success came in tournament action, she also downed three nationally-ranked opponents in dual play including PC's highest-ever ranked victory against #4 Colorado Mesa (Jan. 6)...Went 14-4 over her final 18 matches, winning eight times in January and six times in February.

2022-23: Opened her collegiate career in class 191 during a dual / tournament back-to-back at Life University, downing LU's Madeline Welch in the one-on-one meeting for her first PC victory...Was forced to sit the remainder of the campaign due to injury.

Prior to PC: Enjoyed a sensational prep career at Burns High School in Lawndale, N.C., earning four State Championships and three All-American plaudits...A two-time National Finalist, she won the 2022 State and Regional Tricia Saunders Award...Was a member of the National Honors Society and Beta Club in high school, also participating in FFA and AFJROTC.

Personal: Hobbies include hiking, farming, knitting, baking and lifting...Majoring in Education...Born on December 6, 2003...Daughter of Luke and Kathy Beam.
