Biography

2022-23: Emerged as one of the most consistent grapplers on the PC roster as a 125-lb. junior, bouncing back from an early-season injury to record 11 wins with a 5-1 record against SoCon opponents...Landed 7 victories in 10 attempts while in a dual setting, kickstarted by a 21-6 TF against Truett McConnell, a 5-2 decision over Davidson, and a 19-9 MD over Duke all in December...Entered the conference championship tournament with a W in four out of five league meetings, downing opponents from Chattanooga, Campbell, Gardner-Webb, and Bellarmine by a combined clip of 35-8 in those bouts...Was selected by the league as the #2 seed in his weight class for the aforementioned postseason, where he consequently advanced to the runner-up spot on consecutive standard decisions...Ended his third campaign just three points away from receiving a berth in the NCAA Championships.

2021: Finished with a 3-6 overall record with two of those wins coming in league action… earned two pinfall victories coming against Bellarmine (3:48) and Emmanuel (1:51)… picked up an 8-4 victory against Gardner-Webb during the Blue Hose home dual…

Before PC: Was a 2x state champ at Martin High School... four-time state placer... finished fifth place in fargo freestyle twice... finished runner-up at the Powerade event... two-time national champion... NHSCA Champ... 

Personal: Dominic Jimenez Chavez was born in Arlington, Tex.... he chose to come to Presbyterian because of the school's academic fields they had to offer... he intends to major in construction management...
