Statesboro, Ga. (AP) - Georgia Teachers College made good use of the first break Saturday night as it easily defeated Presbyterian College 104-70.
Freshman forward Connie Lewis led the Professors with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Junior Eddie Owens, forward, was next with 23.
Presbyterian, who defeated Georgia Teachers 81-63 on Jan. 5, was paced by Bob Stratton with 16 points.
With eight minutes remaining in the first half GTC led 28-21, but then outscored Presbyterian 18 to 6 to take a 46-27 halftime lead.
GTC out-rebounded their opposition 71 to 44, and passed the 100 mark with two minutes to go in the game with five freshmen on the floor.
