CLINTON, SC - Presbyterian College senior midfielder Jamie Harris (Greenville, SC) scored a pair of goals to lead the Blue Hose to a 2-0 win over visiting Longwood College in women's soccer action this afternoon.
Harris got the Blue Hose on the scoreboard at the 14:38 mark as she found the top right corner of the goal off an assist from teammate junior midfielder Kim Counts (Charleston, SC).
The half ended with both teams tallying four shots on goal apiece and the Blue Hose up 1-0.
PC added to their lead at the 78:00 minute mark as Harris scored unassisted from the 18 over Longwood's senior goalkeeper Amy Kennedy (Corzet, VA) head to put the Blue Hose up 2-0. Kennedy went the distance tallying four saves while allowing two goals.
PC's freshman keeper Aimee Tatom (Irving, TX) picked up the shutout after going the distance not allowing a goal while picking up two saves.
The Blue Hose improve to 6-4-1 overall while Longwood falls to 7-5 on the season.
