BLUE HOSE BLANK NEWBERRY 9-0

CLINTON, SC - Presbyterian College women's soccer team found the back of the net in abundance today as they defeated Newberry College 9-0 in SAC action.

Two and half minutes later freshman midfielder Anne Gilmore (Athens, GA) scored off her own rebounded shot to put PC ahead 2-0. Adair picked up her second goal of the half at the 17:55 mark off a blast from the center of the box.

Senior defender Camille Andrews (Mobile, AL) got into the scoring action at the 38:32 mark as she found the top left corner of the goal out of the reach of Newberry's freshman goalkeeper Jill Ivey (Charleston, SC). Ivey tallied seven saves on the day while allowing nine goals.

The Blue Hose added another goal before the half as sophomore forward Jeanne Blackburn (Lexington, SC) scored at the 41:36 mark off an assist from senior forward Bethany Cole (Johnson City, TN). The half ended with PC up 5-0 and dominated the shots on goal at 23-0.
