MIAMI SHORES, FL - The Blue Hose women's soccer team was defeated by the #3 ranked Barry University Friday 3-0 at Buccaneer Field. PC falls to 0-1-0, while Barry improves to 2-0-0 on the 2000 season.

Barry dominated the game for the most part, holding the Blue Hose without a shot on goal. PC was held without a shot in the first half and was out shot 19-4 for the game. Blue Hose goalkeeper junior Lara Johnson had four saves in goal for PC

The Bucs of Barry got goals for three different players while recording their second shutout of the season. Junior midfielder Stephanie O'Brien got the Buccaneers on the scoreboard first at 30:56 on assists from Jeanine Piorier and Britt Miazgowicz. Barry took a 2-0 lead at 39:16 on a goal from freshman forward Kirsten Buteau on an assist from Miazgowicz. The Bucs got their final goal from senoir All-American forward Jenny Nilsson at 76:20 on an assist from Ashley Snell.

Senior goalkeeper Birna Bjornsdottir collected her second shutout of the season in as many games.
