MARS HILL, NC - The Lady Lions lost to Presbyterian College tonight in SAC women's soccer action, 2-1. Sophomore midfielder Jessi Adair (Decatur, GA) leads Presbyterian to victory. Presbyterian improved to 2-1-1 in conference play and 4-3-1 overall. Mars Hill fell to 0-4 in the SAC and 3-7 overall.

Adair scored the first goal in the match at the 43-minute mark on a breakaway. Then 12 minutes later, junior forward Shelly Wood (Newton, NJ) converted on a pass from senior forward Andrea Stafford (Cincinnati, OH) to tie the match at 1-1. Then with less than 12 minutes left in regulation, Adair knocked in the match-winner on a pass from freshman defender Delisa Smith (Anderson, SC). Presbyterian out shot Mars Hill 30-to-2 in the match.

Mars Hill plays at Newberry College on September 30. Match time is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start. Presbyterian will host Wingate University on October 2 at 4:00 p.m.
