BLUE HOSE CRUISE PAST FLYING FLEET 3-0

CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College senior forward Ashley Davies (Greenville, SC) scored a pair of goals to lead #8 Presbyterian College to a 3-0 victory over Erskine College in women's soccer action today.

PC sophomore midfielder Jessi Adair (Decatur, GA) tallied four total points on the match dishing out a pair of assists to Davies and added PC's final goal.

The Blue Hose and Flying Fleet were scoreless in the first half with PC taking six shots on goal without scoring. The second half was a different story with the Blue Hose scoring a trio of goals in a matter of 2 minutes to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
Davies got the Blue Hose on the scoreboard off a corner kick from Adair at the 49:30 mark of the match. Adair scored the second goal just :30 seconds later off an assist freshman defender Delisa Smith (Anderson, SC). Davies added her second goal of the day off her assist from Adair at the 51:50 mark.

The Blue Hose outshot the Flying Fleet 17 to 3 on the match and never let Erskine into the match.

Junior goalkeeper Lara Johnson (Hilliard, OH) and freshman Aimee Tatom (Irving, TX) combined for the shutout as Johnson was credited with six saves. The Flying Fleet's netminder senior Liz Baldwin (Davidson, NC) went the distance allowing three goals while collecting six saves.

The Blue Hose improve to 1-1 on the season while Erskine falls to 0-1. PC returns to action on Saturday, September 9 when they host #7 Belmont Abbey at noon.
