GREENWOOD, SC - The Lander women's soccer team fell to 5-8-1 overall Wednesday afternoon when the Lady Senators lost to Presbyterian College, 3-1, in a non-conference game. Presbyterian improves to 7-4-1.
The Lady Blue Hose took an early 1-0 lead when Kim Counts scored in the fifth minute on an assist from Jessi Adair. Jeanne Blackburn scored her first goal in the 49th minute to stretch the lead to 2-0. Blackburn netted Presbyterian's final goal, her second of the afternoon, in the 50th minute. Megan Jordan scored Lander's lone goal on an assist from April Anderson in the 73rd minute.
Presbyterian outshot Lander, 10-5, and led in corner kicks, 10-3.
