BLUE HOSE SHUTOUT CONVERSE 5-0

CLINTON, S.C. - The women's soccer team took a while to get warmed up Thursday night, but in the second period PC put five goals on the board and the defense shut down the All-Star offense to give the Blue Hose a 5-0 win.

Three minutes into the second period junior defender Delisa Smith (Anderson, SC) made the first of two goals on the evening. Freshman midfielder Megan Smith (Greenville, SC) also had two goals on the night as she made her first in the 53rd minute and her second just two minutes later. Freshman defender Jennifer Merritt added the final goal in the 75th minute. Presbyterian took 25 shots while limiting Converse to only two the whole match.

Presbyterian's final regular season record is 12-3-1 overall and will begin play in the SAC tournament Tuesday night at home against Wingate University at 7:00 pm.
