BLUE HOSE REMAIN PERFECT WITH 1-0 WIN OVER LADY EAGLES

JEFFERSON CITY, TN - The Presbyterian Blue Hose remained undefeated in women's soccer as they downed the Carson-Newman Lady Eagles 1-0 Saturday afternoon at McCown Field.

The Blue Hose, ranked eighth in NCAA Division II, improve to 8-0, 3-0 in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC). Carson-Newman falls to 6-3, 0-2 in the SAC.

The lone goal came early in the contest. Junior forward Delisa Smith (Anderson, S.C.) scored the lone goal off an assist from junior midfielder Ashley Cooke (Roswell, Ga.) only three and half minutes into the match. The Blue Hose out-shot C-N 18-15 and PC junior goalkeeper Aimee Tatom (Irving, Texas) turned back 11 shots by the Lady Eagles.

The Blue Hose will be back in action October 2 at 7:00 p.m. playing away against Anderson College. The Lady Eagles host Mars Hill on Oct. 1 at 4 p.m.
