CLINTON, S.C. ? Presbyterian College recorded a 4-3 victory over Southern Conference team Western Carolina Saturday at the Templeton Tennis Center. The win marks the second straight victory over the Catamounts for PC, who defeated WCU 5-2 last season.
PC won four of the singles points with Abby Diminich (Myrtle Beach, S.C.), Megan Davis (Bogart, Ga.), Kari Fuller (Suwanee, Ga.) and Brooke Toluba (Lilburn, Ga.) all claiming wins in their singles matches rather easily.
The Blue Hose struggled in doubles play. Brittany Lanford (Florence, S.C.) teamed with Fuller to notch PC's only doubles win of the afternoon with an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles. The one win by PC earned WCU the doubles point.
The Blue Hose will host Big South Conference foe Coastal Carolina at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17.
