CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College athletics department is pleased to announce that Hoops Madness has been set for Thursday evening in the Templeton Center.

Presbyterian College would like to invite the students, fans and everyone in the community to attend. There will be a free cookout in front of the Templeton Center starting at 8 p.m., which runs until 9 p.m. During that time, there will be great music for everyone to enjoy.

At 9 p.m., Hoops Madness will officially begin. The event will feature the Presbyterian College men's and women's basketball teams. There will be free t-shirts, contests, prizes and a $5,000 Shoot Out in addition to having the cheerleaders perform and much more! Throughout the event, everyone in attendance will have a chance to register for the Fantastic Fan Program.

The Big South Conference and its nine women's basketball playing member institutions today formally announced details of its "Fantastic Fan Program" initiative during the Conference's annual Basketball Tip-Off Media Luncheon at the Renaissance Suites Hotel in Charlotte, N.C.  The loyalty program will offer attendance-based prizes, with a grand prize of a trip for two to the 2010 NCAA Women's Final Four in San Antonio, Texas (tickets, hotel and airfare), courtesy of the Big South Conference.
 
As part of the program, all fans can receive a Fantastic Fan card from their favorite team, which will be used to track their game-by-game attendance.  Fans will be rewarded with different prize levels for attending multiple games, which will increase in value with each attendance level reached.  Fans who attend a total of eight games will be eligible for the grand prize trip to the Women's Final Four.  The grand prize winner will be selected randomly from the list of fans that successfully completed the "Fantastic Fan" attendance card and will be recognized at the 2010 Advance Auto Parts Women's Basketball Championship.
