CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College fell
1-0 to Coastal Carolina, Saturday night in women's soccer action. The match, a defensive struggle, saw just 16
total shots and seven attempts on target.
PC falls to
5-8-1 overall and 2-2 in Big South play while Coastal improves to an even 7-7-1
and 3-2 in the Big South.
After a
scoreless first half, Coastal posted the breakthrough goal on 70 minutes when
Anna Tupy tallied her fourth goal of the season.
PC pushed
forward in the final minutes with Rebecca Miller delivering a shot on goal in
the 87th and Emily Boggus logging an attempt in the 89th
minute of play.
The Blue hose
were outshot 10-6 in the match as the Chanticleers led the corners tally, 4-1.
Jordan
Broadway went the distance for PC In goal allowing the lone goal and making
three saves.
PC continues a
two-match road swing on Monday afternoon against Charleston Southern. The match starts at 4 p.m.
