CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team split its singles matches and captured the crucial doubles point to prevail over the visiting UNC Asheville Bulldogs on Sunday, 4-3.

The win gives PC its first Big South win, improving the team's record to 9-12 overall and 1-5 in the conference. UNC Asheville falls to 6-12 and 0-5 in the Big South.

Reigning Big South Crons Brand Freshman of the Week Christina Limantoro (Subaraya, Indonesia) teamed up with Paige Oelke (Athens, Ga.) in first flight doubles action to cruise over Stephanie Schon  and Zoe Hamel, 8-1.

Cara Caruso (Roswell, Ga.) and Lindsay Krause (Roswell, Ga.) picked up a third-flight victory to win the doubles point by beating Nicole Schon and Jackie McGuirk, 8-3.

In singles play, the Blue Hose took three to seal the win.

Limantoro won a second-flight singles match over Devon Cavanaugh after the Bulldog retired and PC took the fifth and sixth flight contests as well. Caruso handled Schon, 6-1, 6-2, and Krause closed out McGuirk, 6-3, 6-3. The wins gave Caruso and Krause their eighth singles wins of theyear.

PC returns to play on Tuesday when the Blue Hose host Coastal Carolina at 2:30 p.m.
