CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team hosted the Liberty Flames in a Big South Conference matchup on Sunday and fell to the visitors, 7-0.

PC moves to 10-10 overall and 0-2 in Big South action. Liberty improves to 11-5 and 2-2 in league play.

The two teams played singles matches first due to the threat of rain.

PC's lone win came in doubles action, as Edward Snead IV (Greenwood, S.C.) and Nathan Crocker (Clinton, S.C.) cruised past Dillon Segur and Mandeep Yadav at the third flight, 8-2. The duo collected their second straight win when playing together and moved to 4-4 on the year.

Rafael Berghaus (Offenbach, Germany) played in the day's closest match, squaring off against Siim Tuus at the top flight. The Blue Hose won the first set, 7-6, but came out on the losing end a close second set, 7-6. Tuus then took the third, 6-1.

Several Blue Hose nearly won sets against the Flames. William O'Connell (Nadi, Fiji) fell to Shea Thomas at No. 2, 6-3, 7-5, while Zachary Sprouse (Hilton Head, S.C.) dropped a third-flight contest to Giancarlo Lemmi, 6-2, 7-6.

At No. 6, Gonzalo Asis (Madrid, Spain) stumbled against Jorge Azuero, 6-2, 7-5. Nathan Crocker (Clinton, S.C.) also dropped a match to Mandeep Yadav (6-3, 6-0) while Andrew Brigham (Birmingham, England) came up short at the fourth flight to Segur (6-2, 6-1).

In the day's other two doubles matches, Tuus and Lemmi held off Berghaus and O'Connell at the top flight, 8-5, while Tristan Stayt and Thomas pushed past Sprouse and Brigham, 8-3.

The Blue Hose return to action on Saturday when the squad hosts Charleston Southern at 11 a.m.
