CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College women's soccer team (0-1-0, 0-0-0) heads into the first weekend of the regular season with a Friday night match against East Tennessee State (2-0-0, 0-0-0 Atlantic Sun) and a Sunday afternoon matchup against Clemson (2-0-0, 0-0-0 ACC). PC will look to grab an early win after a double-overtime heartbreaker against Francis Marion on Tuesday night.

East Tennessee State enters Friday night with a 2-0-0 record after a road win over Tennessee Tech (2-0) and a double-overtime road victory over UNC Asheville (2-1) to put them at 2-0-0 for the first time since 2008. Sarah Zadrazil leads the Bucs with a goal and two assists for four points while three other players have one goal apiece.

Clemson comes into the weekend sporting a 2-0-0 record before traveling to Furman for a match on Friday night. The Tigers have taken down Appalachian State (1-0) and North Florida (2-0) at home and have yet to surrender a goal. Liska Dobberstein paces the squad with two goals while Allie Kington has the other. Goalkeeper Hunter Rittgers has made 10 saves on the young season.

PC will look for its first win against Clemson, trailing 0-4-0 in the all-time series after an 8-0 defeat last season at Martin Stadium. The Blue Hose will face off against the Buccaneers for the first time in regular season play on Friday. ETSU visited PC prior to the 2011 season for a preseason contest that the Bucs took by a 2-0 margin.

PC saw goals from Sophie Cobb, Tori Lopez and Stephanie Allen in the team's season opener at Francis Marion on Tuesday, but a Patriot goal with seven and a half seconds left in the second overtime handed PC a tough loss. The match saw four goals scored in a 10-minute span that stretched through the first two halves. PC also owned a 15 to 8 shot on goal advantage and held a 10 to five lead in corner kicks as well. PC's three goals matched the team's highest offensive output since a 3-0 shutout of UNC Asheville on October 9, 2010.

The Blue Hose close out their four-match road swing with a Thursday night contest against Wofford at 7 p.m. The squad then opens its home schedule with a rare Sunday night matchup against Furman at 7 p.m. and a September 6 game against Jacksonville.
