CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College (5-4, 1-1 Big South) hits the road for two road games in North Carolina, playing at Charlotte (2-7, 0-0 C-USA) on Thursday at noon before a tilt at NC Central (2-8, 0-2 MEAC) on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the team's final competitions before Christmas. The Blue Hose look to build off of an 81-50 home win over Southern Wesleyan on Monday morning in the team's annual Education Day games.

PC will look for its first-ever win in the third all-time meeting against Charlotte. The 49ers handed the Blue Hose losses in 2009 and 2011, both at Halton Arena. No player on this year's PC team suited up for the last meeting in 2011. The Blue Hose can even the all-time series against NC Central with a win, currently trailing 2-3. The Eagles snapped PC's two-game series winning streak with a 55-44 win in Clinton despite 10 points each from Keyonna Allen and Noelle Carter.

Charlotte brings a 2-7 record into Wednesday's contest following a 76-66 loss at Ball State on Monday. Both of the 49ers' wins came against Big South opponents, with a season-opening 79-77 victory at Liberty and a 75-43 home win over Charleston Southern on December 7. Lefty Webster leads the team with 12.9 points and her 5.2 rebounds check in only one behind Kira Gordon's 5.3 boards per outing.

NC Central plays at Coastal Carolina on Wednesday night and will try to snap a five game-losing streak following a 70-25 defeat at Syracuse on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles picked up a 55-52 win over UNC Asheville but have fallen to common opponents in Western Carolina, Campbell, Gardner-Webb and Winthrop. Racquel Davis's 14.7 points and 9.7 rebounds pace the Eagles in both categories.

The Blue Hose treated over 1,600 local students and fans to a convincing win on Monday morning, handing Southern Wesleyan a 81-50 loss at the Templeton Center. The Blue Hose rode a big first half run—including 16 unanswered points—to a lead they would never surrender. Elizabeth Landers led PC with 15 points and nine rebounds on the morning, both game and career-highs for the redshirt freshman. Keyonna Allen added 13 points.

The Blue Hose boast the nation's top-ranked scoring defense through their first nine games, holding opponents to an average of 46.3 points per game. Southern Wesleyan became the third team this season to crack the 50-point barrier with exactly 50 on Monday. PC has held foes to 41, 45, 44, 45 and 33 points in the team's five games below 50 points.

PC also ranks first in the country in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to 30.2 percent of their shots. PC has held all nine of its opponents to under 40 percent from the field this season after limiting Southern Wesleyan to 35.3 percent (18-for-51) on Monday. The team accomplished that feat 22 times last season with a 9-13 record, allowing over 40 percent only eight times. The Blue Hose also rank second in the country in three-point field goal defense, allowing only 21.6 percent of shots from distance.

PC boasts a 4-0 record at home after Monday's win over Southern Wesleyan. The Blue Hose hold opponents to 27.2 percent shooting at the Templeton Center and average a rebounding margin of +16.5. The team has maintained a winning record at home in each of the last three seasons, beginning in 2011-12.

After Saturday's game, PC breaks for Christmas before returning to action at Campbell on Tuesday, December 30 at 7 p.m.
