The Presbyterian College Athletic Department announced this week its partnership with Sunny 103.5 FM to broadcast all Blue Hose football games, as well as road basketball games. The station will also air a weekly show, "Inside Blue Hose Athletics," an hour long informative show devoted to PC athletic news.
"This is huge for us," said PC Director of Athletics Brian Reese. "Not many FCS schools have a 25,000 watt FM signal and the fact that it is fully commercial will benefit our sponsors greatly. I am also excited that we will now reach the citizens of Greenwood County."
The new flagship radio station broadcasts out of Greenwood, S.C., and will air all PC football games along with all away basketball games this coming year. 103.5 FM can be heard in all of Greenwood, Laurens & Abbeville counties along with some areas in Greenville and Oconee counties. The games will continue to be streamed on-line at www.GoBlueHose.com.
"We are excited about having Presbyterian College as a partner. We know there are many Blue Hose fans here in Greenwood and for them to be able to hear the games on Sunny is a real treat for us." says Sunny's General Manager Dave Fesler.
An hour before each football game, PC will go on the air with the AG SOUTH pregame show featuring Ryan Clary, who returns as the host, and newcomer Zack Compton.
For all home games the pregame show will originate just outside the front gate of Bailey Memorial stadium. For away games the show will air from FATZ Cafe in Clinton, S.C. The pregame show will include not only informative information on the game but will also take an extensive look within the other conference match-ups, as well as other collegiate football news around the country including a look at all the D1 schools within SC.
Eric Thacker and John Orck return for all the play-by-play coverage of Blue Hose football, presented by Founders Federal Credit Union & Self Regional Laurens.
Inside Blue Hose Athletics, hosted by Assistant Sports Information Director Ryan Real, will be heard week nights on The Huddle with Greg Mckinney on ESPN Upstate 105.9 FM and 1330 AM in Greenville, as well as 97.1 FM & 950 AM in Spartanburg. Inside Blue Hose Athletics will also be heard on "Open Mike," a sports talk show originating from Spartanburg on 910AM & 105.7 FM weeknights from 3 to 6.
