CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College women's basketball (10-8, 5-4 Big South) heads to Winthrop (9-9, 5-4 Big South) on Saturday for a 1 p.m. Big South Conference matinee matchup against the defending League champion Eagles. The game will mark the end of PC's first run through League play and the Blue Hose will look for their fourth win in a row after a 71-40 home romp over Charleston Southern on Tuesday night. The Eagles enter Saturday's game flying high after edging Liberty on Tuesday night, 63-58, to hand the Flames their first Big South loss of the season. PC will also aim to improve upon a 6-1 record on Saturday games this season.

PC trails Winthrop in the all-time series, 3-18. The Eagles won the first 12 meetings between the two sides before the Blue Hose won two in a row from 2009-11. PC's last win came on February 4, 2012 , with a 63-60 victory at Winthrop Coliseum. Since then, Winthrop has taken the last four matchups by an average of 19 points. Rebecca Walker led PC with 11 points in the final meeting last season and Keyonna Allen added 10 rebounds. The Blue Hose held Winthrop to an average of 53 points last season, well below their 2013-14 average of 68.4 points per game.

Winthrop boasts an identical 5-4 Big South record with a 9-9 overall record. Erica Williams leads the eagles with 15.9 points per game while Schaquilla Nunn averages a double-double at 13.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per outing. The Eagles enter Saturday leading the league in blocked shots at 5.94 blocks per game but average only 3.33 three-pointers per game, lowest in the Big South.

Over the last five games, Keyonna Allen leads the team with 10.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals to pace PC in those categories. Cortney Storey leads the team in assists, with 3.8 assists over the team's last five.

PC stomped on the gas early and never let up, rolling past Charleston Southern for a 71-40 Big South Conference win on Tuesday night. Keyonna Allen scored a game-high 17 points and led PC with six rebounds. All 12 Blue Hose scored on the evening, including a career-high 12 points from Tia Mason. PC used 40 points in the paint to the Buccaneers' 16. PC's 31-point margin of victory matched a school record for the largest margin of victory in a Big South game, tying a 71-40 win over UNC Asheville on February 2, 2013.

The Blue Hose have scored a combined 112 points in the paint over the past three games against Coastal Carolina (40), Longwood (32) and Charleston Southern (40). PC scored more than 30 only four prior times this season and 40 marks a season-high against Big South competition.

Head coach Ronny Fisher returns for his seventh season as head coach. Fisher was named the Big South Conference's Coach of the Year in 2012-13, PC's first coach in any sport to achieve that honor. He ranks third in program history with 73 wins, standing one away from both Randy Randall (1977-84) and Byron Rucker (1984-89) in second.

The Blue Hose return home to host Campbell on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and will aim to avenge a 58-45 loss to the Camels on December 30.
