BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team tied Gardner-Webb 1-1 Wednesday night at Greene-Harbison Stadium. Hannah Gaither netted the lone goal for PC in the 10th minute.

The Blue Hose go to 6-9-1, 2-5-1 in the Big South Conference, while the Bulldogs go to 5-8-4, 2-4-2 on the season.

Gaither (Statesville, N.C.) put PC on top early in the first half with her sixth goal of the season when she chipped the ball over the Gardner-Webb keeper from about 35 yards out. Stephanie Lee (Suwanee, Ga.) provided the assist.

The Bulldogs evened the score when Samantha Grove netted her second goal of the year on a pass from Brandi Arey inside the 18-yard box.

PC took 13 shots on the night and put seven on frame.

Sydney Fontenot (Austin, Texas) collected five saves in goal for the Blue Hose.
