FARMVILLE, Va. - Presbyterian College (13-13, 8-9 Big South) hits the road this weekend to take on the Longwood Lancers (3-24, 3-15 Big South) in a Saturday road test at 2 p.m. in Farmville, Va. The Blue Hose will look to shake off a 63-41 home loss on Saturday while Longwood will aim to snap an eight-game losing streak. PC enters the weekend sitting half a game in front of Gardner-Webb for sixth place while the Lancers check in 11th, ahead of PC's Tuesday opponent Charleston Southern. The Blue Hose have alternated wins and losses dating back to a 78-59 win over High Point on February 5.

The Blue Hose evened the all-time series at 5-5 after a 53-48 win on January 17 at the Templeton Center. PC has grabbed all five of its wins in the past six meetings and PC and Longwood played three times last year, with the Blue Hose earning wins in the final regular season contest before ending the Lancers' season in the VisitMyrtleBeach.com Basketball Championships with a 54-40 victory, PC's first-ever Big South postseason win. Cortney Storey led PC in the January 17 meeting with 11 points, with Allie Wagner and Rebecca Walker each adding 10.

Longwood looks to snap an eight-game losing streak and pick up its first win since a 79-71 win against Charleston Southern on January 24. Raven Williams leads the team with 13.4 points per game while Khalilah Ali paces the Lancers on the board with 5.6 rebounds per outing.

Over the last five games, Cortney Storey leads the team with 14.8 points and 2.0 steals per game. Elizabeth Landers paces PC on the boards with 4.8 rebounds per game while Aianna Kelly averages 3.0 assists per game.

PC struggled from the floor, shooting 28.0 percent (14-for-50) on the night. The Flames used 30 points in the paint to take the win and blocked eight shots.

Freshman Cortney Storey scored a PC Division I record 27 points as the Blue Hose blew past visiting Coastal Carolina on February 10, 78-56. Storey went 10-for-11 from the floor and her 27 points surpassed the previous record of 26, shared by Mariah Pietrowski (March 5, 2012 vs. Charleston Southern) and Amanda Mills (December 18, 2008 vs. Stetson). Her total marks the most for a PC women's basketball player since Amy Jones scored 38 against USC Upstate on December 17, 2006 and her 10 field goals and 90.9 shooting percentage also tied school Division I records.

For the second straight week, freshman guard Cortney Storey (Fayetteville, Tenn.) earned the Big South Conference The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week award, the League announced on Monday. Storey averaged 17.5 points per game in contests against Coastal Carolina and Liberty, going 6-for-7 from long range and connecting on 65 percent of her field goals. The freshman scored 27 points against Coastal Carolina last Tuesday and against Liberty, Storey finished one point off the team scoring lead but led the Blue Hose in assists and steals.
