CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College (15-13, 10-9 Big South) plays its final regular season game of 2014-15 on Saturday when the Blue Hose host the Winthrop Eagles at the Templeton Center at 2 p.m. Prior to tipoff, PC will honor Noelle Carter, Keyonna Allen and Kasey Hobbie along with manager Brianna Knott in the team's Senior Day ceremony. PC will look to end its season on a high note with a win over the Eagles before PC heads to Conway for next week's VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Basketball Championships. The Blue Hose appear headed for a 2 p.m. date on Tuesday with the 11th-seeded Charleston Southern Buccaneers at the HTC Center in the tournament's opening round.

PC trails Winthrop in the all-time series, 3-19, following Winthrop's fifth straight win over PC on January 24. PC's last win came on February 4, 2012, with a 63-60 victory at Winthrop Coliseum. Winthrop has taken the last five matchups since then, but PC's 54-51 loss in January matched the closest margin of defeat in the all-time series. Keyonna Allen scored a team-high 12 points against the Eagles in the last matchup while Allie Wagner hauled in eight rebounds.

Winthrop enters Saturday in fifth place, one spot above the Blue Hose, with a 12-7 Big South record. The Eagles fell on Tuesday at Liberty, 91-71, to snap a two-game winning streak. Erica Williams leads the team with 16.4 points per game while Schaquilla Nunn averages a double-double at 13.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per outing. Winthrop boasts the league's third-best scoring offense overall at 66.4 points and ranks second in assist/turnover ratio (0.8).

Over the last five games, Cortney Storey leads the team with 14.6 points and a team-best 3.0 assists per game. Aianna Kelly paces the Blue Hose in rebounds, with 5.8 per game.

The Blue Hose enter Saturday 12-3 when leading at halftime, 14-3 when outrebounding  their opponent and 12-3 in the state of South Carolina.

Last Saturday's win at Longwood marked several firsts. The victory marked PC's first when trailing at halftime this season (now at two), snapping a 10-game losing streak when down at the break. The game also marked PC's first win when scoring 39 or fewer points (previously 0-3) and gave the team its first win in Virginia for a 1-4 record in the commonwealth this season.

PC erased an 11-point deficit to get its second consecutive overtime win on Tuesday night over Charleston Southern at the Buc Dome, 56-48. Aianna Kelly led the Blue Hose with 14 points, including an 8-for-10 performance from the foul line, and a season-high 13 rebounds. Cortney Storey chipped in 13 points and four assists, while Janie Miles had 11 points. PC outscored Charleston Southern 10-2 in overtime.

PC is slated to take the No. 6 seed at next week's VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Basketball Championship in Conway. The Blue Hose will take on No. 11 seed Charleston Southern on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
