CLINTON, S.C.- The Presbyterian College women's tennis team narrowly lost Campbell on Sunday afternoon, 4-3, at the Templeton Tennis Courts. 

PC falls to 10-4 overall and 0-2 in Big South Conference action. The team hosts NJIT on Thursday at 3 p.m. and Western Carolina on Friday at 2 p.m.

In doubles, Caroline deLoach (Columbia, S.C.) and Sara McBride (Travelers Rest, S.C.) defeated the No. 2 duo of Irina Karangozishvili and Maud Mrad, 8-5. Demi Henschel (Alberta, Canada) and Madison Utberg (Roswell, Ga.) got a 8-7 (8-6) win at flight 3 over Tamara Stanic and Ewa Telenga to give PC the doubles point. Georgina Segarra and Ana Maria Ortiz defeated Brittany Nuttall (Atlanta, Ga.) and Claire-Mitchell Andrews (Tampa, Fla.) 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. 

In singles, deLoach earned a 6-1, 6-4 straight-set win over Ortiz at No. 4 singles and McBride held on for a 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 victory at line 5 for PC's two singles points. 

Segarra knocked off Nuttall 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 and Stanic defeated Andrews 6-1, 6-2 at line 3. 

Henschel dropped a well-fought battle for PC at spot No. 2, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (10-8) to Karangozishvili and Utberg fell to Kirstetn Renz at No. 6 singles, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.
