JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team outlasted North Florida 1-0 in overtime Friday night at Hodges Stadium.
Freshman Stephanie Lee (Suwanee, Ga.) notched her first career goal to give the Blue Hose (1-1) the victory.
At halftime the score was knotted at 0-0 and the players took to the field after a lengthy lightning delay.
A cross was sent in from outside six yards that was mishandled by the keeper and Lee was there to capitalize on the mistake in the 94th minute.
Shots were a even at 15 a piece, while the Blue Hose led the shots on goal advantage 5-3.
Mallory Hopkins (Monroe, N.C.) led PC with five shots, while Lee had two shots on goal.
Sydney Fontenot (Austin, Texas) generated three saves in the clean sheet for Presbyterian.
The Blue Hose stay in Jacksonville and play Jacksonville University 1 p.m. Sunday.
