GREENVILLE, S.C. – Presbyterian College had a two game winning streak snapped in a 3-1 loss to Furman Sunday afternoon at Stone Soccer Stadium.
The Blue Hose women's soccer team went to 3-3-0 on the season, while the Paladins improved to 6-2-0 on the year.
Furman struck in the 10th minute on a long ball from Rachel Shah to Stephanie DeVita who beat the keeper for her seventh on the season.
PC tied the game a minute before half time when Kristen Peagler (Lithonia, Ga.) collected a loose ball atop the 18-yard box and scored her first of the year.
Molly Dwyer scored a pair of goals in the 79th minute with assists from Shah and DeVita respectively to give the Paladins the win.
Peagler took two shot and put both on frame, while Ashlynn Powell (Simpsonville, S.C.) took four and put one on goal.
Sydney Fontenot (Austin, Texas) gave up her first goals in three game and collected seven saves in 90 minutes.
Presbyterian returns to the pitch in the VMI tournament 4 p.m. Friday in Lexington, Va.
