ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team got shut out 3-0 Wednesday night at Greenfield Field in Big South conference action.
The Blue Hose fell to 5-6-0, 1-2-0 in the Big South, while the Bulldogs improved to 8-3-0, 2-1-0 on a wet, soggy evening on the pitch.
UNCA netted two goals in the first half. Courtney Naber scored the first goal in the ninth minute for her third of the season, while Caroline Houser found the back of the net in the 30th minute for her fourth of the year. Paige Trent provided the assist on both goals for the Bulldogs.
Justine James produced an extra insurance goal in the 69th minute for her sixth of the season, while Naber provided the assist.
The Blue Hose took eight shots and put five on frame while five PC players took one shot and put it on goal.
Sydney Fontenot (Austin, Texas) collected two saves in the loss.
Presbyterian travels to Charleston Southern 1 p.m. Saturday to take on the Buccaneers.
