SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team fell at Wofford, 6-1, on Tuesday afternoon in Spartanburg, S.C. The Blue Hose are back in action on Friday in a conference match against Liberty at 10 a.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts in Clinton, S.C.
The Terriers claimed the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. PC's Nicole Croxton and Celine Schepers earned a 6-4 victory at No. 3 for their fourth win as a double pair this season. Wofford took the matches on No. 1 and 2 by the same score of 6-3.
In singles, Wofford won five of the six matches for the victory with four matches going to three sets. Nicole Croxton earned a three-set victory on court six, 6-2, 0-6, 7-5, for her team-high-tying 11th victory of the year.
Tracy Johnson, Brittany Nuttall and Claire-Mitchell Andrews each forced a third set in their respective matches but ended up on the short end of the decisions.
