SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team earned its 10th victory of the season on Tuesday afternoon with a 6-1 win at USC Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C.

PC earned the doubles point with victories on courts two and three. Celine Schepers and Brittany Nuttall opened the match with a 6-0 victory on No. 3 and Tracy Johnson and Claire-Mitchell Andrews claimed a 6-2 win at No. 2 to clinch it.

In singles, PC took five of the six matches en route to the victory. Nicole Croxton opened the singles side with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 5 for her 10th singles win of the season. Nuttall followed with a 6-0, 6-0 win on court four, before Kayla Stanford won for fourth time, 6-0, 6-2, on court six.

USC Upstate claimed the match at No. 1, 6-1, 6-2, but PC finished out the match by taking the final two of the day. Johnson won in three sets at No. 2 for her 12th win of the year, 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-5). Demi Henschel then claimed a three-set win at No. 3, 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8).

PC returns to action on Saturday at Coastal Carolina in its second to last road match of the season.
