CONWAY, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team fell to Coastal Carolina, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex, in a match that was delayed several hours due to rain.
The Chanticleers took the doubles point by taking all three matches by score of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-3 on courts one, two and three, respectively.
In singles, CCU claimed all six matches to record the victory. Celine Schepers led early in the opening set at No. 1 but ultimately fell, 6-4, 6-0. Demi Henschel battled on No. 3 but dropped the match, 6-3, 6-1. Tracy Johnson won a pair of games on court two, while Nicole Croxton took two games in set two on court five but both would fall.
The Blue Hose face a quick turnaround with a home match against Longwood on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts.
