PC Falls to UNC Asheville on Saturday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team fell to UNC Asheville, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Templeton Tennis Courts in Clinton, S.C. The Blue Hose fall to 12-8 overall and 2-5 in the Big South, while Asheville improves to 10-9 and 4-4 in the Big South.

The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point with a sweep of the three matches. The two would split the singles action with both teams winning three matches.

Beth Taylor earned a three-set at No. 2, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, to earn her 10th win of the season. Brittany Nuttall then followed with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory on court four to pick up her 12th win of the year. Katie Thompson rounded out the day for PC with a 6-3, 6-3 win on court six. The remaining matches each swung Asheville's way in the 4-3 win.

PC returns to action on Tuesday with its final conference match of the year, traveling to Gardner-Webb for a 2 p.m. in Boiling Springs, N.C.
