Presbyterian Drops Match to Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team fell at Campbell, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Nesbit Tennis Center. The Blue Hose fall to 5-7 overall on the year and 0-3 in Big South action, while CU improved to 7-6 overall and 3-1 in the Big South.

The Camels swept the three doubles matches to clinch the doubles point and go up 1-0. The home team then went on to come out on top in each of the singles match for the victory.

Caroline Ferrari forced a third set at No. 5, as CU's Isabel Boada took the opening set, 6-3, and Ferrari claimed the second, 7-6. In a third set tiebreaker, Boada held off Ferrari, 10-8, to record the three-set victory.

PC returns to action next weekend with a pair of home conference matches. The Blue Hose will face Longwood on Saturday and Liberty on Sunday.
