PC Softball Announces 2020 Schedule

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College and head softball coach David Williams announced the 2020 schedule on Tuesday. The Blue Hose slate consists of 59 games, including 24 at home, and five contests against teams who reached the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

"We are very excited about the upcoming spring and our schedule," said coach Williams. "Our schedule allows us to play a variety of opponents from several different conferences, including a few schools who competed in last year's NCAA Tournament. The non-conference portion should help prepare us for Big South play and the challenges that lie within our conference."

PC begins the season at home, as it hosts the Blue Hose Invitational from Feb. 7-9. Presbyterian opens the campaign against Robert Morris, and is also set to face Norfolk State and South Carolina State during the opening weekend.

The Blue Hose hit the road for tournaments the next two weekends, beginning with THE Spring Games from Feb. 14-16 in Madeira Beach, Fla. PC is set to play Georgia State, reigning MAAC Champion Monmouth, Mercer, Central Arkansas and Butler. The following weekend, Presbyterian heads to Macon, Ga., to take on Mercer, Georgia State, Akron and Bryant.

PC returns home to begin an eight-game homestand on Feb. 25 as it hosts Coastal Carolina. The weekend of Feb. 28-March 1, the Blue Hose square off with Wagner, Wright State and Cleveland State in the Scotsman Invitational. The homestand concludes with a twin bill against South Carolina State on March 4.

The next six contests are back out on the road for Presbyterian, beginning with a trip to Wilmington, N.C., from March 6-8 to play in a tournament which features UNCW, North Dakota and Georgetown. PC's road trip concludes with a visit to Clemson on March 10.

The Blue Hose open Big South Conference play on March 14-15 with a three-game set against USC Upstate at the PC Softball Complex. Following a mid-week trip to Columbia to battle South Carolina, PC welcomes Radford to Clinton for another three-game conference set.

Presbyterian begins a stretch of 15 straight away from home with its first road conference series from March 24-25 against Charleston Southern.

The Blue Hose final regular season tournament will be March 28-29 in Charlottesville, Va., with matchups against Buffalo, Western Carolina and Virginia.

PC concludes the trip with road conference series against Campbell (April 4-5), reigning conference champion Longwood (April 10-11), and a non-conference doubleheader against East Tennessee State (April 15).

The Blue Hose finish out their home schedule with three-game conference sets against Gardner-Webb (April 18-19) and Winthrop (April 21-22). PC concludes the regular season with a three-game road series at Hampton from May 2-3.

The Big South Conference tournament runs May 6-9, at Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, N.C.
