Hall Leads Women's Basketball to 72-35 Win Over William Peace

Clinton, S.C. - Kacie Hall scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Presbyterian College women's basketball team to a 72-35 win against William Peace on Wednesday night at the Templeton Center. Ten different PC players recorded points, with Bria Gibbs (11) also reaching double-figures. Lauryn Cross led the Pacers with 10 points, while Mikayla Ray led the visitors with eight rebounds.

Scoring the Game
Presbyterian jumped out to an 11-0 lead before the Pacers' got on the board via a jumper from Cross with 4:40 remaining in the first. After a back-and-forth over the next 10 minutes, the Blue Hose used a 9-0 run to extend their lead to 15 points, 30-15, following a layup from Tionna Carter with 4:33 left in the half. Presbyterian then pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 16-0 run before reaching the final score of 72-35.

Players of the Game
Kacie Hall scored a season-high 15 points on 6-8 (.750) shooting from the floor and 3-5 (.600) from behind the arc. Briley Buckner added a season-best seven points and collegiate-best eight rebounds.

Presbyterian shot 35 percent (26-74) from the field while holding William Peace to just 33 percent (13-40). The Blue Hose pulled down a season-best 41 rebounds compared to 39 for the Pacers. PC held a big lead with points in the paint, 34-18, as well as points off turnovers, 29-8.
