Gainesville, Florida - Jade Compton scored a game-high 20 points, including five three-pointers, as the Presbyterian College women's basketball team fell late to Florida, 60-46, at the Exactech Arena on Monday morning. The Gators had four starters finish in double figures with Zada Williams (10 pts, 9 rbs) falling one rebound shy of a double-double.
Trinity Johnson added 13 points for PC.

Scoring The Game
After Florida started the game on a 7-0 run, Compton and
Tess Santos hit threes on back-to-back possessions to make it a 7-6 game with 7:01 left in the first. A three from Johnson at 1:04 tied the game at 12-12, but Florida regained the lead with a layup from Williams to lead 14-12 after one quarter.
Compton broke a 9-0 run by the Gators to open the second with PC's first two-point basket at 6:41 to make it a 21-12 game. The junior forward scored all nine of PC's points in the quarter and hit a buzzer-beating three as the Blue Hose entered the half down 30-21.
Presbyterian opened the third on an 8-2 run with a pair of threes from Johnson and a jumper from Compton to make it a one-possession game, 32-29, with 7:03 on the clock. After trading baskets and free throws for the next five minutes, Florida extended their lead with a pair of late baskets to lead 45-38 headed into the fourth. The third quarter was PC's highest offensive output as the Blue Hose edged the Gators 17-15 for ten minutes.
Florida pulled away in the fourth quarter with runs of 6-0 and 8-0 to win 60-46.

Trinity Johnson went 3-5 (.600) from three while scoring 13 points to go with season highs in rebounds (6) and steals (4).
