PC Falters at Radford on Friday

RADFORD, Va. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team began its final road trip of the regular season with a 3-0 loss (25-13, 25-23, 25-15) at Radford in Big South Conference action on Friday evening. The Blue Hose drop to 13-14 (7-6 Big South), while the Highlanders improve to 10-15 (6-7).
 
Notables
- Lauren Talbert and Trinity Williams notched 10 kills apiece to lead the Blue Hose, while Erin Cooke and Allie Wright registered seven apiece.
- Williams added a match-high 15 digs for her 11th double-double of the season and her eighth in conference play.
- Sierra Jones led all players with 19 assists, while Cooke chipped in 11.
- Erin Eulitz had 14 digs in the contest, and has registered double-digit digs in 25 of Presbyterian's 27 matches.
- Wright served a pair of aces to move into third place in PC's DI era in career aces with 108.
 
How it Happened
- PC held a slight 10-8 edge early in the first set, but Radford went on a 13-1 run, which included a 10-0 spurt at one point, to run away with the set.
- The Blue Hose raced out to a 7-0 lead in the second set, but the Highlanders fought back to draw level at 11-11. Presbyterian squeezed its way in front again at 21-19, but Radford took six of the ensuing eight points to snag a 2-0 advantage.
- A pair of 4-0 runs helped the Highlanders get out to a 15-8 lead in the third set. The Blue Hose could not get any closer than five for the remainder of the contest.
