Blue Hose Host St. Andrews on Saturday for Senior Day

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College football team wraps up its 2019 season on Saturday afternoon with senior day against St. Andrews beginning at 1 pm from Bailey Memorial Stadium. The game will be on ESPN+ and broadcasted on WPCC 96.5 FM and Fox Sports 98.3 FM. Prior to kick off on Saturday the Blue Hose will honor RB Zola Davis, LS Cooper Short and OL Eli Teeselink for all they have done for the program during their careers at Presbyterian.

Last Time Out
• The Presbyterian College football team was unable to overcome four turnovers as Charleston Southern picked up a 27-7 victory over the Blue Hose on Saturday afternoon at Bailey Memorial Stadium.
• Wide Receiver Keith Pearson led the Blue Hose offense with a career-high 129 receiving yards which surpassed a previous high of 116 set earlier this season against Hampton.
• Linebacker Colby Campbell paced the defense with 16 tackles and an interception. It marks the second time this season that Campbell has had at least 15 tackles and ninth time this year with 10+ tackles.
 
PC Returns To The Gridiron For Senior Day
• The Blue Hose return to the field for senior day on Saturday against St. Andrews. It's the first time that PC and St. Andrews will face each other in the programs history. It's the fourth team that the Blue Hose play for the first time during the 2019 season (Eastern Kentucky, at North Alabama, at Merrimack and St. Andrews)
• Prior to kick on Saturday, the Blue Hose will honor three student athletes prior to kickoff. LS Cooper Short, RB Zola Davis, OL Eli Teeselink will be honored prior to kick.
 
Record Chasing
• Wide Receiver Keith Pearson needs five catches on Saturday to set a new single season DI record for catches in a season. Pearson enters play on Saturday with 61 receptions as he looks to surpass Terrence Butler who had 65 catches during the 2007 season.
Colby Campbell needs just two sacks on Saturday to set the Blue Hose DI record for most sacks in a season. He enters play on Saturday with 6.0 as Adam McKinnet holds the record for sacks in a season with 7.5 in 2008.
• Campbell needs seven solo tackles on Saturday to set the DI single season record for most unassisted tackles in a season. He comes into Saturday's contest against St. Andrews with 59 solo stops.
 
Campbell Looks To Add Name To Record Book Once Again
• Junior linebacker Colby Campbell looks to add his name to one more record as he needs 12 tackles to set the single season record by anyone in the Big South for tackles in a season.
• Campbell enters Saturday's game with 133 total tackles as he looks to surpass Derik Screen from VMI in 2003 and Quinn Backus from Coastal Carolina in 2013. Both Screen and Backus had 144 tackles in those respective seasons.
• Campbell needs 12 assisted tackles to tie the Big South single season record for assisted tackles.
 
Turner Adds First Rushing Score
• Freshman Jaiden Turner scored his first career rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to score the Blue Hose lone touchdown on Saturday vs CSU.
• Turner recorded a receiving score at North Alabama earlier this season.
 
Blue Hose in the Ranks
Colby Campbell continues to maintain the lead in the Big South with 133 total tackles with a league leading 12.1 tackles per game.
• Campbell is fourth in the Big South with 6.0 sacks.
• Wide Receiver Keith Pearson sits second in the league with 61 receptions and 5.5 catches per game.
Jarius Jeter ranks fifth in the Big South with 654 rushing yards on the season. He's sixth with 59.5 rushing yards per game.
Rod Haygood is tied for second with three interceptions.
 
Scouting the Knights
• Saint Andrews sits with a 5-4 record following a bye week last week. In their last action, St Andrews picked up a 33-28 victory over Point.
•  Offensively, the Knight are led by Kacey Otto with 1196 passing yards and 10 touchdowns.
• Trevor McNeil leads the backs with 410 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Dashaun Ferguson has eight touchdowns and 232 yards on the ground.
• Kashard Cohens has 652 yards receiving and seven touchdowns while Jermaine Trotman Jr has 747 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
• Andy Austin leads the defense with 90 tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss. Monte Williams has 85 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss.
