Box Score EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Double-doubles from sophomores Erin Cooke (11 kills, 15 assists) and Trinity Williams (14 kills, 20 digs) helped the Presbyterian College volleyball team to a 3-1 win (25-16, 25-20, 17-25, 25-21) over Central Arkansas in the first match of the Cougar Classic at First Community Arena on Friday. PC improves to 4-7 on the year, while UCA dips to 5-6.

Notables
- Cooke recorded her third consecutive double-double and fifth of the season. The sophomore added five digs and three blocks while hitting .348. With her 15 assists, Cooke surpassed 500 for her collegiate career.
- Williams' double-double was the first of her collegiate career. Her 14 kills and 20 digs both established new career highs.
- Sophomore Lauren Talbert chipped in 10 kills and registered eight digs.
- Junior Allie Wright equaled her season high with nine kills on a team-best .350 hitting percentage. She also led Presbyterian with five blocks.
- Senior Erin Eulitz led all players with 30 digs, the 10th match in a row she has been in double-figures.
- Junior Sierra Jones handed out a match-high 23 assists.

How it Happened
- A 5-0 run in the first set helped the Blue Hose race out to a 10-3 advantage. UCA whittled the margin to as little as three at 12-9, but PC countered with an 8-3 spurt to put the opening set beyond reach.
- Presbyterian got off to a strong start again in the second set, jumping in front 4-1. PC maintained the lead until a 5-0 Central Arkansas run put the Sugar Bears on top, 14-12. However, the next six points went to the Blue Hose, giving PC an edge they did not relinquish for the remainder of the set.
- In the third set, a 9-7 Presbyterian advantage quickly turned into a 13-9 lead for UCA after a six-point spurt. The Sugar Bears then closed out the set with runs of 5-0 and 3-0.
- The Blue Hose came out hot in the fourth set, opening up on a 9-2 run. Central Arkansas closed the gap to one on a pair of occasions, but a 6-1 run helped PC pull away.
