COACH RINCON ON THE MATCH
"We lost a heartbreaker today," said head coach Eduardo Rincon. "We worked hard to get opportunities, but could not capitalize on those when we needed to. I think we're a better team than we were before the last two matches. We will take Tuesday off, then get right back on the court to work on the things we need to while they're still fresh."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Samford claimed the doubles point after taking tightly contested matches at the No. 1 and 2 positions.
- PC drew even to start singles play, as the Bulldogs defaulted at the No. 6 spot.
- The hosts then rattled off wins at the top three positions to seal the match victory.
- Oscar Alvarez and Jonathan Bedard picked up straight set wins for the Blue Hose at the No. 4 and 5 spots, respectively.

NOTABLES
- After leading the team in combined wins last season, Oscar Alvarez picked up his first win of the season in his season debut.
- Bedard also picked up the first victory of his sophomore campaign.
