Women's Tennis Travels To Charlotte & Elon For Weekend

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis wraps up a four-match road swing beginning on Friday when the Blue Hose travel to face Charlotte at 9 am before heading to Elon on Saturday for an 11 am matchup.

LOCATION: Jimmy Powell Tennis Center (Elon, N.C.)

COACH ROBERTS ON THE WEEKEND
"I am really excited about this weekend's matches as Charlotte and Elon are both solid team and I know the team is ready to go," commented head coach Joel Roberts. "We are trying to build off of last weekend and keep progressing each match."
 
THE OPPONENTS
- Charlotte enters Friday's match with a 1-1 mark on the spring coming off of a 7-0 win over Queens and a 7-0 loss to No. 8 NC State last weekend.
- The 49ers are 4-0 all-time against the Blue Hose in the DI history dating back to 2008.
- Elon enters Saturday's matchup with a 2-3 record on the season coming off of a 7-0 defeat against Duke and a 7-0 victory over Belmont Abbey on Wednesday afternoon.  
- The Blue Hose are 0-2 against Elon in the Blue Hose DI history.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Hose dropped both of their matches last weekend against a pair of ACC foes as Clemson downed the PC 7-0 and Georgia Tech defeated Presbyterian 4-0.
- Sophomore Zeba Jamal saw her first action of her Blue Hose career playing at No. 3 doubles and No. 4 singles in both matches last weekend.
 
UP NEXT
- Presbyterian opens its home slate on Sunday February 9 against Western Carolina with that match set to begin at 3 pm from Clinton.
