PC Men's Tennis Set for Pair of Weekend Matches

CLINTON, S.C. – As it nears the beginning of Big South play, the Presbyterian College men's tennis team has a pair of non-conference matches on its slate this weekend. The Blue Hose welcome Appalachian State to Clinton on Friday, then travel down to Columbia to face 15th-ranked South Carolina on Saturday.

THE OPPONENTS
- After winning their opener, the Mountaineers arrive in Clinton on a five-match losing streak.
- PC owns a 4-3 edge over App State in its DI history. The Blue Hose edged the Mountaineers 4-3 in Clinton two seasons ago, the most recent meeting between the two programs.
- South Carolina is 6-3 on the season and enters the weekend ranked 15th in the latest ITA rankings. The Gamecocks feature three singles players and two doubles teams ranked in the top-50.
- Presbyterian is 0-3 against South Carolina in its DI history, including a loss last season in Columbia.
- Saturday marks the first nationally ranked opponent for PC this season. The Blue Hose last match against a nationally ranked team came in 2019, when they fell at #24 Georgia.
