At Presbyterian –
2022:
Named Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year…Earned Big South All-Academic team honors…Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete…Recorded 10 singles wins playing primarily at number five and six singles…Tallied five doubles wins playing with four different partners.

2021: Named to the Big South’s First Team Singles… recorded a team-high 13 singles victories as he closed the season winning his last nine singles matches… he competed in nine regular season league matches (five singles, four doubles) and didn’t record a loss which included four straight-set wins in singles play… he opened the spring with four straight wins in singles action before dropping his lone singles match of the spring against #15 NC State… he closed winning the aforementioned nine singles matches in a row which included both singles matches in the Big South Championship… in doubles action, he recorded an 8-4 recorded with four of those eight wins coming with Javier Matos… also was named to the Big South’s All-Academic team…

2020: Selected to the Big South All-Academic Team ... Appeared in 10 contests for PC ... Went 3-1 in singles play, including a 2-0 mark at the No. 4 position ... Compiled the team's best record (7-1) in doubles play, including a 6-0 mark with partner Max Benson ... His seven doubles wins were second-most on the Blue Hose ... At 10-2, had the highest combined winning percentage for PC (.833), and his 10 combined wins were third-most on the team.

2019: Two-time Big South Freshman of the Week (Jan. 30 and March 12) ... Played in 27 matches with 13 singles matches and 14 doubles ... Earned 17 victories, including eight singles matches ... Went 6-3 in No. 4 & 5 spots in singles action ... Won two Big South matches... Won nine doubles matches, including seven wins at the No. 3 spot ... Went a perfect 2-0 in doubles action in league play. 

Prior to PC: Lettered four times at Johnson Ferry Christian Academy in Marietta, Ga. … Member of the National Championship winning UTSA Advanced 18s Junior Team …Doubles finalist in the South Carolina ITF … Rated as a four-star player by TennisRecruiting.com … Member of National Honors Society.

Personal: Parents are John and Nooshin McKinney ... Cousin, Matt McKinney, played basketball and volleyball at UCLA, before playing on the pro volleyball circuit for 10 years ... Chose PC because it seemed to be an ideal fit for him ... Really liked the culture and tight knit community that is very supportive ... Economics and Business double major with an Accounting concentration.
