Women's Tennis Opens Home Slate On Saturday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team opens its 2020 home slate on Saturday as the Blue Hose welcome in Chattanooga for a non-conference match. The match is set for an 11 am first serve at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

COACH ROBERTS ON THE WEEKEND
"We are really looking forward to our home opener on Saturday," shared head coach Joel Roberts. "We should have great weather and it should be a great day for some tennis."
 
THE OPPONENTS
- Chattanooga makes the trek to South Carolina with a 6-4 record as they will face Furman on Friday afternoon before coming to Clinton on Saturday for the match. The Mocs picked up a 6-1 win over UT-Martin in their last on court action.
- Chattanooga and PC meet for the first time in the school's D1 history on Saturday in Clinton.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- Senior Beth Taylor earned a straight set win last time out for the Presbyterian College women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat against Georgia Southern at Wallis Tennis Center.  
- It moved Taylor within one singles win of tying Paige Oelke and Patricia Alves for third in the career singles win record book with 42 total singles wins.
