PC Men's Tennis Home Opener Set for Friday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team returns to Clinton on Friday for its home opener, a doubleheader against Belmont Abbey. The Blue Hose then hit the road again on Sunday to face Coastal Carolina.

THE OPPONENTS
- Belmont Abbey enters Friday's doubleheader at 0-2, having dropped its first two matches of the season last Saturday. The Crusaders will be playing Friday's matches as exhibition contests.
- Presbyterian faced Belmont Abbey in a twin bill last season, and took both matches 7-0.
- Coastal Carolina is 1-1 on the young season, having had several contests postponed or canceled due to weather.
- As former conference foes, the Blue Hose and Chanticleers have met 13 times since PC moved to Division I for the 2008 season. CCU holds an 11-2 advantage in the series, including a 4-2 victory in Clinton one year ago to the date of Sunday's match.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Hose dropped a 6-1 decision at Chattanooga last Saturday.
- With a win at No. 3 singles, Oscar Alvarez improved to 3-0 in singles this season.
