Men's Tennis Hits the Road for Pair of Matches

CLINTON, S.C. – After nearly two weeks since its last match, the Presbyterian College men's tennis team returns to action with a pair of matches this week. The Blue Hose visit UNCG on Thursday, then head to Campbell on Saturday for their conference opener.

THE OPPONENTS
- UNCG enters Thursday's contest at 4-5 on the season, and is coming off of a tight 4-3 loss to Navy on Monday.
- The Blue Hose and Spartans have met each of the last three seasons. PC won the first meeting in 2017, but UNCG has won the last two.
- Campbell has won five of its last six, and faces South Carolina State on Thursday prior to the matchup with the Blue Hose.
- The Camels won their conference opener 5-2 against Longwood on Feb. 27.
- CU owns a slight edge 7-6 edge in the series since the two became conference foes, including a 4-3 victory last year in Clinton.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- Due to having their conference opener on March 4 against UNC Asheville postponed by weather, the Blue Hose have not competed since a 6-1 win over North Carolina A&T on Feb. 29.
- Against the Aggies, PC took the doubles point, then quickly built a 3-0 lead thanks to 6-0, 6-0 wins by Jonathan Bedard and Max Benson at No. 5 and No. 1 singles, respectively.
- Jaime Castillo-Lopez and Nicholas McKinney each also won in straights at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions.
