Brandon Younger scored a career-high 18 points, to take a 71-56 win in Big South action Monday evening at Millis Center in High Point, N.C.
Rayshon Harrison added 16 points with
Winston Hill adding 14.

Scoring the Game
A slow start to the Blue Hose, High Point jumped out to 11-2, just five minutes into the game. PC offense began to click, with the Blue Hose using a 13-4 run to knot the game at 15-155:52 remaining in the half. Two Panther free throws gave the home team the lead again, but a quick
Winston Hill layup at 4:51 tied it at 17-17. With the game tied for the fifth time of the half at 23-23, 3:04 in the game, PC closed out the half with eight of the game's next 10 points, which included five from
Brandon Younger and back-to-back threes, to head into the locker room leading 31-26.

PC built an eight-point, 36-28 lead with 17:01 left, but HPU came back with five unanswered to cut the lead to three, but Younger responded with a three-pointer at 15:21 to take a six-point lead, 39-33. The Panthers cut the lead to four, 36-39, at 14:09, before 11 straight by the Blue Hose gave the visitors an 11-point lead, 47-36, 11:11 to go. An
Owen McCormack three-pointer gave PC a 50-39 lead, 9:08 on the clock, but High Point rallied with a 9-2 run to cut the margin to four, 48-52, 6:04 left.
Winston Hill's three-pointer at 5:43, and
Rayshon Harrison's jumper and free throw at 4:51 made it a 10-point game, 58-48. Leading by 10 again at 61-51, the Blue Hose scored four unanswered to extend their lead to 14. Back-to-Back baskets by High Point cut it to 10 again, 55-65, but that was it for the Panthers as PC added two baskets and two free throw to finish with the 71-56 win.

Winston Hill added 14. Younger paced the team with nine rebounds. John-Michael Wright led High Point with 22 points, with Emmanuel Izunabor pulling down a team-leading 11 rebounds.

PC improved its 40.6% shooting in the first half to 50.0% in the second to finish with 44.8%. High Points shot in the 30s both halves to end the game with 34.7%. The Blue Hose went eight-of-20 from the perimeter and connected on 111-of-17 free throws. High Point went 19-of-26 from the charity stripe and posted three three-pointers. PC held a 38-32 advantage on the boards, and posted two less turnovers, 16-18.
