CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team will lace up the boots for the final time this season as they host Gardner-Webb on Saturday, October 23 at 7pm. The team will honor the seniors prior to kickoff as part of their senior day ceremony.

Series History | Last Meeting
Saturday will be the 12th meeting between Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb. Gardner-Webb has had Presbyterian's number in recent years, but the Blue Hose have won two matches in their short history, 3-0 in 2021 and 1-0 in 2013.
Scouting the Runnin' Bulldogs
Gardner-Webb is 7-11 on the season. The Runnin' Bulldogs have been a better road team this year going 5-5 away from home, including a 3-0 win at USC Upstate in their last match.
The head coach for the Runnin' Bulldogs is Mike Varga. He is in his 8th year.

Lawrence, Serrano Climbing the Ranks
Seniors
Kori Lawrence and
Megan Serrano have made quite the mark so far in their collegiate careers. Through their three years, they have inched their way towards all-time records in Presbyterian's DI era.
Lawrence, the team's leading scorer a season ago, is currently ranked 4th in goals in her career with 11. She also sits sixth in assists with six. Serrano earned three wins last season which gives her 11 in her career. After a win against Alabama State, she is only one win away from becoming Presbyterian's all-time wins leader in the DI era. She also is placed third with 214 saves.

Head coach
Brian Purcell is in his 33rd season at the helm of the PC women's soccer program. Only six other coaches in NCAA history have coached for 30+ years with the same school, and Purcell is one of only three coaches to still be the only coach in program history. North Carolina's Anson Dorrance has spent 45 seasons with the Tar Heels, and Jerry Smith has spent 37 seasons with Santa Clara.
Big South Preseason Poll
The Blue Hose were selected to finish sixth in the preseason poll after posting an overall record of 5-4 a season ago.

The Big South Championship begins on October 30 and October 31 with the quarterfinals. The semifinals will be played on November 4 and the finals to be played on November 7.
