Jaraczewski & Johnson Lead Teams at Big South Championship

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College cross country teams led by sophomore William Johnson and junior Lili Jaraczewski competed on Friday at the Big South Conference Championship. Johnson led the Blue Hose in the men's 8k with a 28:02.6, while Jaraczewski finished tops for the women's team at 21:12.3 in Kernersville on Friday afternoon.

Notables
· William Johnson paced the Blue Hose in the men's 8k on Friday with a 28:02.6. Zack Kochert was second amongst PC runners at 29:18.7.
· Luke Harmon finished the race at 31:25.0, while Kieran Schuetterle posted a 31:33.7 just behind Harmon on Friday.
· Neel Taber finished the conference championship at 31:58.2 just ahead of freshman James Marler who posted a 31:59.8.
· Justin Nobles and Ralph Guerra rounded out the 8k for Presbyterian at 32:07.5 and 33:32.9 respectively.
· Charleston Southern won the men's championship on Friday, while Athanas Kioko won the individual conference title with a time of 23:16.8.
· In the women's 5k, PC was paced by Lili Jaraczewski who led the Blue Hose on Friday with a 21:12.3 Jaraczewski finished just ahead of freshman Caroline Rairigh who finished at 21:16.5 in her first conference championship.
· Keyli Gomez posted a 21:25.0 on Friday in the championship.
· Julie Covil improved on her personal record in Friday's race with a 22:38.4 by over a minute while Mackenzie Partsch rounded out the group for PC at 26:38.0
· High Point won the women's championship on Friday, while Hannah Moran won the individual title in the 5k with a time of 17:09.5.
· Following the race, Jaraczewski and Johnson both were announced as members of the 2021 Big South All-Academic teams.

- The Blue Hose return to action on November 12th at the NCAA Regionals hosted by the University of Kentucky.
