Blue Hose Led By Doubles Pairs at WCU Invite

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team continued its fall slate over the weekend with a dominating performance in doubles action at the WCU Invite hosted by Western Carolina.

NOTABLES
- PC faced off with Big South foe Gardner-Webb and completed the sweep of doubles as the pairs of Claudia Sanchez/Lucianna Piedra, Jessica Leeman/Beth Lacey and Alexa Wilson/Valentina De Sousa all won their doubles matchups against the Runnin' Bulldogs.
- Lacey also earned a singles win against Gardner-Webb.
- In doubles action against Brenau, Sanchez/Piedra, Leeman/Lacey and Wilson along with Madison Dennett each earned a victory in doubles play.
- In the Blue Hose doubles matchup with host Western Carolina, Piedra/Sanchez and Wilson/De Sousa both earned victories.
- Piedra and Sanchez both completed a 3-0 weekend in doubles action over the weekend in Cullowhee.
- The singles matches against Brenau was postponed due to weather.

- PC continues the fall slate on October 16th when the Blue Hose travel to Charlotte for the Queen Invitational hosted by Queens College.
